We’ve said it before, and we’ll happily shout it from the rooftops again: our people are the beating heart of our company.

We’re privileged to employ a stellar team – and many of these talented individuals have been at Hallmark for many years, long before we grew into one of the UK’s most trusted suppliers of customised clothing labels (and evolved further to offer a wider range of bespoke printed merchandise).

We thought we’d catch up with a handful of our brilliant employees to find out how their work shapes our business, what they love the most about being part of the Hallmark family, and how they think the industry has changed since they joined us.

Get to know Jenna, our Sales Assistant

“My job involves welcoming and supporting new customers, helping them choose the right products, finalising and preparing their artwork, and making sure everything is set up correctly for production,” Jenna explains.

“I also assist with our social media, which means sharing updates, promoting our products, talking about our team challenges and enabling customers to see what we’re working on.”

As you can imagine, there’s quite a lot to this role.

“It requires strong communication skills, organisation, attention to detail, and a good eye for artwork and design. I’ve had training in Hallmark’s order systems, production processes, as well as guidance on our brand voice for social media.”

What do you enjoy the most about working at Hallmark, Jenna?

“My favourite thing is the people. We genuinely enjoy working together, and there’s always laughter in the day. Everyone supports one another, and that strong sense of teamwork makes even the busiest days enjoyable.”

And what’s your favourite memory from your time here so far?

“I loved working closely with a customer on their order and then seeing their products turn out beautifully, exactly the way they’d hoped.”

You’ve only been with us a few months, but how has the printing industry changed in this time?

“I’ve already seen increasing demand for quicker turnaround times and digital artwork support, and Hallmark has adapted by improving our systems and making it easier for customers to get exactly what they want.

“Something that doesn’t get mentioned enough is that we’re a rare one-stop shop for all packaging in the UK. From artwork support to production in the UK, fast turnaround times, and low minimum orders, customers can get everything they need in one place – something that’s hard to find elsewhere.”

What’s your plan for the future?

“I plan to keep expanding on my knowledge and skills and hopefully take on new responsibilities as I grow with the company!”

“Like Jenna, I speak with many different customers each day to help them find the best packaging solutions for their brand. I also assist with processing orders, preparing quotations, and helping customers understand the different packaging items they need for their products.

“Good communication skills are really important. It also helps to have a good eye for detail and be able to multitask, since there’s usually a lot happening at once. We have in-house training that teaches us how the company works, the different products we offer, and how each item is made, so we can confidently guide our customers and help them choose what’s best for their brand.”

Hatt finds it hard to pick just one thing to love about working at Hallmark…

“The team is incredible. Everyone is so kind, supportive, and genuinely caring, it really feels like a little family. I also absolutely love seeing all the amazing products we create and helping bring our customers’ packaging ideas to life. It’s really fun and rewarding to be part of that. Everyone pitches in to help, and we always have a good laugh while doing it.”

Now that you’ve been on our payroll for 3 years, what do you think sets Hallmark apart from its competitors?

“I think Hallmark stands out because we work with all kinds of companies, big or small. We offer low minimum orders, fast turnaround times, and great customer service. Being a family-run business means we genuinely care about each customer and take the time to make sure they’re looked after. It just makes Hallmark feel personal and approachable then some of our competitors.”

And how have we adapted to keep up with changing customer demands?

“People are much more mindful about being eco-friendly and looking after the world we live in. The industry has really moved towards more sustainable approaches [which we have delivered] and we love seeing our customers making eco-friendly choices too.”

Hatti is keen to stress that there’s more to Hallmark than simply fulfilling orders.

“I wish people knew just how much care and attention we put into everything we do. It’s not just about the products — it’s about making sure every customer feels supported and valued.”

What do you get up to outside of work, Hatti?

“I love spending time with my family and friends, whether that’s exploring new places, enjoying a relaxed drink at the pub, watching films, or just hanging out together.”

Catch up with Terry, our Warehouse Manager

Terry is one of our longest-standing employees, having been at Hallmark for more than 12 years. He says:

“I oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and despatch of goods. I’m here to make sure that warehouse operations run smoothly, safely, and cost-effectively while maintaining high accuracy and productivity.

“I shadowed the former warehouse manager until I was comfortable that I’d acquired the right skills and knew enough to take on the role.”

He’s stuck with us for many reasons, but not least because he’s felt that his time and his expertise is genuinely valued here.

“My favourite part of working here is the freedom to innovate. New ideas are welcomed, and there’s a genuine openness to trying different approaches. It makes the work dynamic and exciting.

“And some of my favourite memories are the simple daily moments – morning coffee chats, shared jokes, and celebrating small wins together.

He wants his time with us to leave its mark.

“I hope to leave a legacy of reliability and strong work ethic. I want to be known as someone who could always be counted on to deliver quality work, support others, and uphold the company’s standards.”

Terry, what’s one thing that you wished customers knew about Hallmark? (Something that doesn’t get shouted about enough, perhaps?)

“I wish customers knew how much work happens behind the scenes to make everything run smoothly, from planning and coordination to quality checks and problem-solving. A lot of people work hard to ensure every order is correct and on time.”
